Frequently Asked Questions

Does it support IPv6?This tool is intentionally focused on IPv4 CIDR calculations. An IPv6 calculator should use 128-bit address handling and is planned as a separate utility.
How many usable hosts are in a /24?A conventional /24 contains 256 addresses. In a standard subnet calculation, 254 are usable host addresses because the network and broadcast addresses are reserved.
What is a /32?A /32 represents exactly one IPv4 address and therefore has one total address and no conventional host range.

About this tool

IPv4 Subnet Calculator is designed for practical everyday workflows. The interface is intentionally lightweight, responsive, and usable on desktop and mobile. The conversion or calculation runs in your browser, so ordinary input data is processed on the current device rather than uploaded as part of the tool operation.
